Small wooden box

This was a quick and easy box that I made over a couple of days. The sides and lid are all cut from one piece of Ceder wood and the base is a bit of spare timber of a lighter colour (I can’t remember exactly what) . The hinge for the lid is two pieces of a bamboo skewer.

I rushed the holes for the skewer first go and they ended up on an angle meaning that the lid would not open properly. I ended up having to use the front of the box as the back and fill in the old holes using some saw dust and glue.

The box is finished off with linseed oil which came up great.
